Tepic, Nay., (Notifax).- Cerrar la brecha de género en el sector educativo es una demanda impostergable, afirmó el Presidente del Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (SNTE), Juan Díaz de la Torre en el marco del Día Internacional de la Mujer y el 2° Encuentro Nacional de Mujeres Líderes de la organización sindical.
Subrayó que “se deben potenciar los talentos de las mujeres, mediante la ampliación de las oportunidades y de dar mayor peso a las medidas afirmativas que permiten a las mexicanas mejorar su calidad de vida, a través de sistemas educativos, laborales y políticos más justos y reivindicativos con sus contribuciones sociales”.
Destacó que el 62 por ciento de las plazas docentes corresponde a profesoras; en el SNTE, 1,524 mujeres conforman los Comités Ejecutivos Seccionales, 85 maestras son parte de Consejo Nacional y siete son secretarias generales.
