Washington, DC, (Redacción).- Debido a presiones, prácticamente de todo el mundo, el presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, firmó un decreto destinado a poner fin a la controvertida separación de las familias de inmigrantes en la frontera.
“Se trata de mantener juntas a las familias”, dijo Trump en la ceremonia de firma en la Oficina Oval, para luego añadir: “No me gustaba ver a las familias separadas”.
“Tendremos fronteras muy fuertes, pero mantendremos juntas a las familias”, dijo el presidente de Estados Unidos, quien a principios de mayo lanzó una política de “tolerancia cero” hacia la inmigración ilegal, que ha resultado en la separación de familias.
“Creo que cualquiera con un corazón podría actuar de la misma manera”, agregó, y señaló que su hija Ivanka y su esposa Melania tenían sentimientos muy fuertes sobre el tema.
